When the teacher sends home the report card for a child, the purpose in that communication is to identify strengths and weaknesses AND to work on those strengths and weaknesses. It's a fairly humbling prospect if you really think about it - having the most important people in your life discuss (and document) all the things you're doing right ...and wrong.
Here's a report card for a young person/ teen to complete for his parent. When approached correctly (a parent with a spirit of humility and a child with a spirit of honor), this can be a useful tool for identifying what's going right in a parent/child relationship and what could use some improvement.
This report card and instructions for using it are from a Parenting Resource provided by First Assembly: https://www.gastoniafirst.org/firstathome
